Typical symptoms of a defective BSI control unit:

• No control of power windows, central locking, mirrors, etc.
• Missing or unstable communication with the instrument cluster; displays fail sporadically or remain completely inoperative.
• Malfunctions of the vehicle lighting (switching on or off by themselves, no function, failure of one side of the vehicle).
• Malfunctions of the turn signal system (no function or continuous operation).

Due to the design-related failure rate of this control unit and the low cost of BSI modules on the used market, using a used BSI is often economically advantageous. However, simply replacing the BSI is not sufficient, as the control unit is part of the immobilizer system (IMMO). The BSI is vehicle-specifically coded and must be adapted to the respective vehicle.

We offer complete data transfer (cloning) of all relevant content from the original BSI to a replacement BSI, including:

• IMMO data
• Vehicle configuration Key and security data

This allows the replacement BSI to be used as a functionally identical control unit without any additional programming procedures. Upon request, we also provide the PIN code of the original (even damaged) BSI, which may be required for:

• adapting the vehicle configuration,
• programming additional keys or diagnostic purposes.
