Why is a repair necessary?

Repairing the BSM module is not uncommon. Purchasing a used module from the aftermarket will only temporarily solve the problem. Each of these modules will likely require repair sooner or later. The BSM module is difficult to repair because it is rubber-encased and the electronics are inaccessible.
